Network
Proven technical project management experience on medium and large projects with skills in planning, estimating, organizing, and project management methodology.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise solutions for network, firewall, and UNIX environments.
- Large Enterprise WAN - large enterprise experience
- Cisco - Class of Service experience - experience with configuring network traffic based on type/priority
Specific skills/experience (required)
- Extensive hands-on experience with Check Point products such as: Firewall NG, Provider 1, Smart Dashboard, and Secure Platform.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with network protocols and concepts including: SSH, FTP, Telnet, TCP/IP, TCP/IP addressing schemes, Network Address Translation (NAT), Domain Name Services (DNS), and routing (OSPF and BGP).
- Extensive experience with various security practices and products including: OS hardening, encryption, PKI certificates, intrusion detection, virus protection and vulnerability testing.
- Demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers. Cisco certifications preferred.
- Proven ability to interpret output from network data analysis tools such as Sniffer, Etherpeak, and TCP dump.
- Practical knowledge of various local and wide area network infrastructure transports including: Ethernet, VPN, Frame Relay and Point to Point Circuits.
- Effective interpersonal and consulting skills to align client focus with tactical and strategic plans to meet business needs.
- Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for clear definition of scope, technical solutions, project deliverables, appropriate system documentation and client communication.
- Proven technical project management experience on medium and large projects with skills in planning, estimating, organizing, and project management methodology.
- Experience with the ANX network, Tripwire, Gauntlet, FTP, PGP, Solaris, and Sendmail is preferred.
- Experience with proxy servers, VPN devices, and remote access technologies preferred
